Elila Design is proud to have moved toward a more sustainable, eco-friendly production for 2020 and beyond.
Our new factory has implemented in-house systems in which dye is filtered from the water before being recycled back into the local environment. All of our fabric dye is organic and more importantly, completed by hand in the absence of machinery and its associated waste.
With all of our pieces being handmade, our customers can be comfortable knowing they are supporting local business and creating a micro economy for Island artisans.
All beaded pieces are also created by hand, taking sometimes days to complete a single piece.
This means we do not buy pre – manufactured sequin material off the roll from China.
Our Knit pieces are produced on machines by local family artisans that have passed the trade down from generation to generation.
Finally, all of our packaging is free from plastic. We choose to use only recycled paper bags, swing-tags and stickers.
